I challenge anyone to read the lyrics for "Get Down With the Sickness" and try to argue that's acceptable songwriting for a to support. Some of the bands also have pretty strong Satanic ties, which of course is nothing new with the hard rock / death metal culture, but something to be aware of if your 8-year-old wants the game. It's not that people sit around "wondering what the band is about," but the fact is there are some songs that just by listening to them can put bad concepts in your head. I mean, Satan was the worship leader in heaven so, he has strong power in music. Now I'm not saying every song in the world is bad, but we need to watch out for the ones that are even if they're "only in a game." @NonConformist17: Hey I’d just like to throw in my 2 cents. I went over to my brother's house once and saw him playing it. Man, does that game look evil. Skulls and fire and stuff are at every turn. Now I know which game to buy... rock band 2! @Ray:

What about the history of the bands selected? The one that comes to mind is AC/DC. I personally feel that if the Christians endorse these type of games by purchasing them that they also endorse the groups on these games. If that is the case, this is totally against what God says in his word. Would you agree? " --Randy Are you serious??? Dude. Have you ever actually played the game or watched the people playing?? (probably not). No one is thinking..." Gee, I wonder what this band is about..." when they're playing. It's all about the music and the achievement made in successfully completing a song. After all friend, IT'S ONLY A GAME!!! Please stop trying to fight battles that don't need to be fought! While I respect your right to your views... please stop and think before you speak; because you are making all of us Christians look bad. ” Thanks for the review, but I have a question to ask. The godly reverance/fear of God in your heart can really guide you. For myself I find that I stopped intentionally listening to 90% of secular music but that's my personal conviction :) peace! We have the ability to enjoy pornography? Does that mean we should? No. Did God give that ability to us? No, man's sinful nature created it. And why should rock and roll be an exception to all of our other principles? @Jesse:

They don't endorse the views SERIOUSLY, they just use them as a method of freaking people out, not unlike every teenager who's ever grown up and wanted to do something to make their parents uncomfortable. It's classic rock, through and through, with an awesome sound. Personally, I find it depressing that just because something is "worldly" it's immediately not worth your time. I mean, what kind of music could you possibly listen to with that mindset? God wouldn't have given us the ability to enjoy worldly pleasures if he didn't intend for us to ENJOY THEM. I agree you do have to draw a line, but with rock and roll, and especially the classics that defined the genre? That's just ridiculous. Oh, and Rock Band has better production values over Guitar Hero: World Tour. AC/DC comes from an era of “shock rocking.”

The mic is pretty much the same, but I think RB2 is better when it comes to the singing gameplay (due to the more accurate pitch meter). @The Wampa King: Drums are better on Rock Band 2, but the guitars are very uncomfortable.
