Evolution is NOT an evil theory, but atheists use it to spill all this garbage about "There is no evidence for God." The problem is not the theory of evolution, but the theory of UNGIUDED evolution. Unguided Evolution has been proven false a ton of times. Evolution itself cannot prove or disprove anything. What I have an issue with, is people who claim it's fact. It's just theory. It's not even scientific law for pete's sake! But that's not in Spore. My biggest issue with Spore is that, as I said before, it's like you're playing God. But I'll leave it up to you whether you think that's wrong or not. @Steve:

I think you misunderstand what evolution is. Evolution encompasses many theories, chief among them that species can change over time to adapt to their environment. I see nowhere in its tenants that are meant to or can be skewed to disprove God. I don't believe in evolution, in that it doesn't require my belief to make it work. It is what it is, with or without my approval or acceptance. @Steve:

(I say Chrsitianity AND monotheistic religions because I think that using the term 'religion' to refer to Christianity would be demeaning) It also uses a scientifically disproven theory on "how life started on earth" namely, coming in a meteor. (this was disproven as shown in popular science, the bacteria on the outside died before they reached earth, and the ones on the inside died seconds, or less after entering the atmosphere) Also, in tribal stage, when your creatures heal themselves, they squat and look like they're meditating. Also, there's a 'Galactic god' Achievement that you get if you play all the way from cell stage to space stage. This is only a badge intended by the developers to be shown off, nothing more. Finally, and most disturbing of all, the third-to-last and last titles you can earn in the space stage are 'The All Powerful' and 'The Omnipotent' only God is both, however, you are never worshipped in any way shape or form. Kalam said this as his argument "Everything that has a beginning has a cause, the universe has a beginning, so the universe has a cause." Spore creatures devoloping have a beginning, so they have cause. They don't just evolve over time, you make a choice, so your they're cause. However, people who are strong in their faith willl know better. And as for planting a seed of evolution in children's minds, its the mother and fathers duty to say what a child can or cannot play. And if there is questionable content, then it's also their duty to explain the error, to the child, and correct them in what they to believe to get them back on God's track. Secondly, I don't believe in evolution, and even though this game has a hint of it in it, it's not the main focus of the game. However, I do believe genetically speaking, there can be changes over time from influences from the enviroment and etc. For instance, take Noah's ark when he had to load up all the animals.Obviously, we know the story, and we know that he took one male, and one female of each creature. I believe, that he only had to take two dogs, not two pit bulls, two great dains, two whatever. Only two, not two of each kind of dog in the entire world. The dogs, (and research has been done by Christians who have proven this to be true to the worldly scientific view) can change genetically over time. For instance, over time, from influence from the enviroment that they lived in, and the genetic structures which changed over time, "evolved" is a bad example, but dogs changed physically. Getting back to Spore, I don't think that playing this game will effect many people and convince them to believe in evolution, and if Christians are worried about it, they have the choice to say no and not buy it or play it. This will inevitable plant a seed that evolution is possible and and life can be created on its on without the hand of God. The next version of this game or a similar game will take it one step further and then another step further until it blasphemies the word of God. This is how it is done with games and movies and everything else if anyone has actually noticed lately. But because it is in the disguise of a cute cartoon looking game most of you will not even raise an eyebrow to it. The Word of God is the only truth we have in this life and when something even though seemingly innocent contradicts the very Word of God then it has to be taken seriously even if it is in the form of little cute cartoon characters. Evolution is what science teaches to prove that there is NO GOD. If you don't believe that last statement.... well I don't know what to tell you.
