If I'm reading this correctly, then yes, there is definitely profanity in E10 games. Shadow the Hedgehog has a lot, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn has some, and Advance Wars: Days of Ruin has PLENTY. Here's something that may help- if it's rated E10 for Mild Language, that usually seems to imply that there'll be 4 or 5 mild profanities in the entire game. Not a whole lot, usually. If it's rated E10 just for Language, then the game's designers went nuts with the profanity. It'll still be mild, but it'll be frequent. I hope this answers your question. He's a dark, brooding, angsty type character that I believe our culture uses a bit too much. I prefer the grumpy, elderly type characters to the unrealistically overdeveloped, mary-sue type 23 year old angsty, "hot", dark characters that are growing all too popular in this era. My friend and I are huge character critics and we study character development a lot. I know a bad character when I see one. I mean, if you like the Sonic universe, good on ya, you're entitled to your opinion. But as looking at it as a critic, honestly, Sonic's characters are NOT that well developed. At all. Shadow is just an dark angsty-sue type character that young people really fall for these days. I'm not calling you stupid or any undermining term by liking Shadow, if you do. I'm just saying that in the critic's eyes, he's not a good character and he needs to be redeveloped or removed, like a lot of other characters in the Sonic universe. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen, because Shadow was voted 2nd favorite character in the entire Sonic universe. Here's a word of wisdom for anyone seeking to create dynamic characters: Look at your cast as a whole, and see who stands out the most. If its easy for your fans to find their favorite character, you've got some reworking to do. You don't want your fans to play favorites. You want your fans to like every character. In the case of Shadow, he's one of those type characters that a LOT of people can't help but to like. So, he's not well developed in the midst of the rest of the cast. Anyway sorry for the rambling and overly long response, I hope that it was helpful though. @gargoyle:

Shadow is my favorite character so it comes naturally to like the game. I wish they didn't add the language (Why did they have to make shadows game the worst?) Although this isn't so bad, considering Sega's original plan for the game was to be T rated and feature even more swearing and violence. (although Sega later changed their minds and most of it was edited out) the language was somewhat overdone. nearly every time he gets hit he lets out a “D***it!” and nearly every time he dies he says “D***, not here….” Although this isn’t so bad, considering Sega’s original plan for the game was to be T rated and feature even more swearing and violence.
