What officially ruined it for me was the song "Knights of Cydonia". When I first unlocked it I played it constantly over and over again. Eventually I looked up the lyrics to find out that they completely blasphemed God. Since then I haven't been able to justify playing that song or a game that promotes it. I cannot recomend this game to anyone who is trying to honor Christ in their personal lifestyle, but if you can't seem to get enough of it then I would recomend Guitar Praise. It's a version of guitar hero and a lot more fun and God honoring! When I first played this game I was completely addicted to it, and I could see it majorly effecting my additude towards my family. At Lou's Inferno there are girls dancing and in another place a neon lady pole dancing in the background. There are many other sequences like this throughout the game but Guitar Hero is fun and in World Tour ( the new one) you can use the guitar from it too. I disagree with some people on the age limit for guitar hero. I watched my 4-year old cousin have a blast playing, then my 2-yr old cousin go crazy on the drums(even though they were using the music studio)! I really don't think kids will notice the sensual stuff in the game. But I do agree that it has some negative elements. The game has many bad elements, and good ones too, like I said. But one thing needs to be cleared up: kids should not be playing this. Most teenagers (and adults) are probably fine, but I've seen a 6-year-old get this game for his birthday. That is WAY too young. Sure, they can have lots of fun with it, but the content is without a doubt inappropriate for impressionable kids. So just a warning to parents - carefully consider the negative elements of this game before getting it for your children. After some thinking, I’d like to clarify on my last comment on this game. Here is a minor spoiler. Alright, here it goes. Your agent turns out to be Lou! As in Lucifer. Turns out that you accidentally signed away your soul when you signed on to be his band. The last level, Lou’s Inferno (a cute, tame version of Hell) has the 6 most difficult songs of the game, and as the story goes, you escape Hell by playing better than the devil. The intent of the game is to be funny, as Lou-cifer himself looks like a southern rocker from Atlanta. If you beat the game, you unlock him as a character. PLEASE....tell me you're kidding. I guess it follows the attitude that it's all subjective. A lot of what Christ did for us is to give us examples so that we wouldn't do things that could possibly harm us. Are you going to hell for playing this game? Probably not. Do kids benefit playing a game which trivializes what God paid a high price for? What does a game have to do that you find is over the line. Living life that defines right and wrong as nearly always subjective does not spare anyone. What's next? Or does it matter? It may not be in vogue to use the word wrong; but please consider looking past the game, and looking squarely at the content. Christians seem to be the only ones that allow their religion to be belittled. Maybe it's time to start following other religions examples Warning! Here is a minor spoiler.

But the awesome gameplay and the good songs more than make up for it. Since you can get the game (GH III)for under $50 on Amazon now, it's definately worth it. There are five songs on here that are great to play over and over again like..... Stricken, Before I forget, My curse, Through the fire and flames, and Bulls on parade. Great game, can't wait till world tour. This is a great game the promblem with all the guitar heroes is that the graphics aren’t that great. When my friends and I play it, we always agree not of play the "bad songs." As for Lou (aka Satan), I find it funny that our culture has turned the devil into the cliche, stereotypical red man with horns that too many people see him as today. The real Satan is so much worse, and he is much more powerful than we are. The good news is that God almighty, the Creator of the universe, has already defeated him, and He gives salvation freely to those who ask! Personally, I think it’s a blast to play GHIII at parties. Jesus paid much too high a price - His life - for our sins. To mess around and play silly with the entity that represents that sin is not something I am willing to do.
